Thank You, President Obama & H.S.U.S!

December 11, 2010

Hey, fellow DGN readers!

The Dog-Gone News editors want to personally thank President Obama and the Humane Society of the US (HSUS) for prohibiting Animal Crush Videos! For our readers that don’t know what a ‘crush video’ is, it is a disturbing video which intentionally shows the torture (e.i., crushing, burning, drowning, suffocating,  impaling) of puppies and kittens or any other living animal for the satisfaction of their viewers. These disconcerting videos often show graphical features in which the animal is tortured and often bled to death. These horrifying videos needed to be stopped.

Dec. 9, 2010- The Humane Society of the United States lauded President Obama for signing into law H.R. 5566, the Animal Crush Video Prohibition Act of 2010

Thank you!,

Guide Dog Saves Owner In 9/11

September 12, 2010

On September 11, 2001, one blind man and his dog were trapped on the 78th floor of Tower One, New York.

Michael Hingson, victim of the 9/11 accident, was with his guide dog, Roselle during the accident. They both endured 78 flights of stairs, but when they exited the building, their lives were still in danger.

They had to literally run for their lives to escape the falling tower.

“She did exactly what she was supposed to do to keep us running and avoiding other people,” he said. “Because everyone was running in sheer terror and panic.”

Roselle, you are truly a hero.
